The Focal Kanta No. 1 in greater detail

Focal’s Kanta series is their most affordable to include the acclaimed pure beryllium inverted dome tweeter. This astonishing design is able to simultaneously offer unprecedented resolution in the upper frequencies without a hint of brightness or harshness. Focal’s engineers have mated this incredible tweeter perfectly to their F-sandwich flax main mid-bass driver. Here a flax layer is sandwiched between two ultra-thin layers of glass fibre. The end result is a driver that reproduces the all-important midrange with accuracy while also being able to deliver an incredibly fast and taut bass response. Like other models in the Kanta series, the Kanta No. 1 also features Focal’s TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) and NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) technology. Don’t be fooled however - all this high-tech isn’t just for show; at the end of the day what really matters is the music and the Focal Kanta No. 1 is a gloriously musical speaker. If you would like to experience the amazing performance of Focal’s best technologies but you have a smaller room and your budget cannot stretch to the Sopra series - you have found your speaker!

Sound Advice

  • The Focal Kanta No. 1 will sound great right out of the box, but it will sound better after 100 - 150 hours of use.

  • For best results, we recommend a minimum of 18” of distance from the back wall to the back of the speaker.
