The Grado GS3000x in greater detail

This is the pinnacle of Grado design. Before you even listen to them, the GS3000x tickles the senses with its luxurious cocobolo wood enclosure. As befitting the best model in their Statement Series, there is much more to the design, as the cocobolo wood shrouds the metal enclosure wherein you’ll find the best version of Grado’s fourth-generation X series driver. The GS3000x features a 52mm driver - the largest Grado makes.

You’ll feel the quality in your hands as you put these beauties on. Despite their size, you’ll notice how comfortable they are thanks to their light weight. And then the music starts. Actually, it would be more appropriate to say that the music starts to flow.

Every Grado model is special, starting with their entry-level SR60x model. Sound Advice

• The Grado GS3000x will sound great right out of the box but they will sound even better after around 75-100 hours of use, a period known as ‘break in’. During this time the suspension of the drivers will relax and the end result is a deeper, more natural bass and smoother high frequency extension.

• You can plug the GS3000x directly into your phone, tablet, or computer, but with a premium headphone such as this we’d strongly recommend a dedicated headphone amp.
