We loved the original NAIT XS, and we love this latest version even more. Naim has taken an already awesome amp and given it a bit more grunt and authority, all while never losing a beat of that world-famous Naim musicality. The amp also now includes a moving magnet (MM) phono stage for easy integration of a turntable. This phono preamp has got some serious resolving capability, and so pairing it with a high quality turntable will reap huge rewards. Compared to the entry-level NAIT 5si, the XS 3 brings you closer to the performance; a veil you didn’t know existed between you and the musicians is now lifted. If you’re a headphone listener you’re in for a treat, as the headphone amp in the NAIT XS 3 is seriously awesome. There just really isn’t anything not to like in this amp, and that is why its our go-to recommendation at the price point.
