Summary
Called “one of the greatest high-value audio products of all time” by Stereophile, this all-analog integrated amplifier combines a tube-based preamp stage with a class-D power amp to deliver a truly stunning performance.
In detail
Made in America, the Rogue Audio Sphinx v3 is the latest version of an award-winning vacuum tube hybrid integrated amplifier. Two matched 12AU7 tubes in the preamp section drive the Hypex-UcD class-D 100 watt power amplifier, which is fed by a massive high storage linear power supply.
The reviews rave about this amplifier and it is easy to hear why. Solid engineering principles lead to an incredibly engaging musical performance. We love the Rogue Audio Sphinx v3 and in fact it has become one of our favourite integrated amplifiers in its price range.
This is an all-analog design that features a phono input with accommodation for both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges.

Sound Advice
The Rogue Audio Sphinx v3 will sound great right out of the box but will sound its best after 100 hours of use, when the tubes and other components have had a chance to break in.
We recommend against operating the Rogue Audio Sphinx v3 in a closed cabinet. We also recommend a minimum of 3-4 inches of open space above the amplifier to allow for adequate ventilation.
