At first listen, the improvements in the SR125x may seem subtle, but then as you listen more you realize that they really do add up to a more refined performance. Using words to describe hi-fi sound isn’t always easy, but we’ll give it a try; if we had to choose one word to review this model it would be: focused. Sound Advice

• The Grado SR125x sound great right out of the box but they will sound even better after around 50 hours of use, a period known as ‘break in’. During this time the suspension of the drivers will relax and the end result is a deeper, more natural bass and smoother high frequency extension.

• You can plug the Grado SR125x directly into your phone, tablet, or computer, but you’ll get an even better experience with a dedicated headphone amp.
