Shunyata Research was founded in 1997 by Caelin Gabriel, a former U.S. Military research scientist. Gabriel’s expertise was in the research and design of ultra-sensitive data acquisition systems, systems designed to detect extremely low-level signals that are easily obscured by random noise. Combining this extensive knowledge and experience with his love for hi-fi audio led to what would become his life’s work.
From those beginnings over 25 years ago, Shunyata Research is now an internationally acclaimed company that designs and manufactures high performance electrical and cable systems not only for home audio and professional recording studio system, but also for the medical and surgical industries as well. The company’s 18,000 square foot facility is located near Seattle in Washington.
Caelin Gabriel holds over 10 patents and has additional patents pending. His products have garnered countless awards and endorsements from recording studios and mastering engineers, as well as heart surgeons and hospitals, around the world.
Creative Audio is proud to be Winnipeg’s authorised Shunyata Research dealer. From our first evaluation of their product, we were struck by their performance. Cables are a critical part of any audio system’s performance, but too often they are used as tone controls, masking the performance capability of your system. Shunyata Research takes a very different approach to their designs, preferring to allow the equipment’s character to shine through and thus not masking an ounce of detail. Put simply, if you want to get more out of your system, you need Shunyata. Book an audition today!
The connection from amplifier to speaker is the longest signal path in your system. Getting this connection right is critical if you want to experience the full potential of the system you have invested in. Too many speaker cables shift the balance of a system, acting much like tone controls and thus distorting the signal. Speaker cables from Shunyata Research avoid this pitfall, instead acting as a conduit between amplifier and speaker, with the aim of reducing noise and maximizing resolution. Shunyata’s commitment to a scientific approach has garnered them high praise not only from recording studio professionals, but also the medical industry.
*For a pair of 2.0m single wire cables. Other lengths available.
The quality of the power coming into your audio system has a direct impact on its sound quality. After all, what you are listening to is, literally, electricity. In every component, the sound starts at the power source. The three fundamental principles of power distribution by Shunyata Research are to reduce noise from the AC outlet, eliminate cross-component interference, and deliver exceptional dynamics with high current delivery.
