Handcrafted in Italy

Like all Sonus faber speakers, the second generation of the Sonetto series is built by hand in northeastern Italy, in the province of Vicenza. Crafted from natural materials of the finest quality including luxurious open pore woods, supple leather, and solid concrete. Sonus faber designs and manufactures their own drive units as well, giving them ultimate control and allowing them to deliver on their promise of natural sound which has been their hallmark for over 40 years.

Silk dome tweeters

The signature sound of Sonus faber speakers - natural, warm, with textural nuance - is in large part the result of their tweeter design. The soft silk dome is damped at its apex which serves to eliminate undesired resonances and out-of-phase movement which is deleterious to the resolution of fine high frequency detail. The Sonus faber tweeter delivers wide dispersion without any unwanted colouration or exaggeration; you will hear every detail reproduced with natural ease.

Asymmetric Surround

Critical to the sound character of Sonus faber speakers is their natural, lifelike midrange reproduction. The Sonetto G2 series features an asymmetric rubber surround on the woofers which serves to break up resonant modes, offering greater linearity in this crucial range of frequencies. Combined with the sandwich cone construction, these drivers reproduce the human voice and percussion instruments with uncanny realism.
